To find an effective program to get you in shape consider doing some research. You will find there is loads of information everywhere. So it may be difficult to find an effective product based on your goals. As you know anyone can post a workout program on the internet, this can lead to problems.
The problem with this is that some people write about things they know nothing about. Do you think they would come up with an effective program to help you get in shape? Well, they might but chances are they are not supplying you with an effective program.
So what would you do in this situation? Will you do everything that sounds good or would you look for a trusted author with a program that has proven to help others reach their goal. Yes, obviously you would choose the second option.
So how do you go about finding these programs? Well, you could do many hours of exploration on the net or you could find a site that does the work for you. There are several review sites, but many of them are not helpful because they give you only the positives of the program to encourage you to buy it.
The real solution is finding sites that offer real user feedback from real customers who have purchased the product. This is crucial you want to know if others have had results with the product before you purchase it. You also want to know which products are more useful at accomplishing your goals.
One more helpful element would be essential facts about the product such as key features, the author and the price. We will also feature articles of the top weight loss and muscle building products to help you to find a great product.
One Vs Many Workouts
Studies show that many small workouts can work as well as one long workout if both have the same amount of time invested and are at the same intensity level.
Separating your workout can be great if you are just starting to workout or have small breaks of time to workout throughout the day. Lets say you do 3 10 minute workouts instead of a 30 minute workout. From a health stand point you are getting the same health benefits if all other variables are equal.
This many also be the case with weight loss. It may even be easier to do higher intensity short workouts rather than one long high intensity workout causing you to loss more weight. Also consider the time it takes to change into workout cloths or go to the gym when considering this method.
Every U.S. Adult Overweight in 40 Years
A recent post in yahoo news by Amy Norton claims that if the trend for the past 3 decades continues all U.S. adults will be overweight in 40 years. This is quite alarming considering the fact that today there is many more resources available for weight loss than every before.
So what are the possible reasons for this quick increase in the number of obese adults?
A good explanation may be that it is now easier than ever to have an unhealthy diet. Do to the increasing amount of packaged food that is loaded with saturated fat and simple carbs that can easily produce fat.
The increase in fast food and bigger portion sizes can also be a good explanation for the increasing problem. Fortunately some fast food companies have added healthier foods to their menus and also change to healthier oils.
As far as physical activity is concerned we are lazier than ever? Why because we simply spend more of our time sitting such as at a computer or watching tv. We even use more machines and technology so that we don't have to do as much physical activity. Maybe 40 years from now we can sit around and not have to do anything that involves any physical activity.
It comes down to the choices we make we can ether choose a healthy lifestyle or not.
So is this really a possible situation?
Or can we start changing our lazy and unhealthy lifestyle to ensure this doesn't happen?
Diet – Carbohydrates
In a typical diet carbohydrates should make up about 60% of your total calories consumed per day. They are the primary source of the body’s fuel. This is a large majority of your diet so it is very important that you consume the right carbohydrates at the right times. This is crucial to losing weight.
The key to a good carbohydrate diet is controlling your insulin levels. Now this is a hard concept for most people to understand so I won’t try to confuse you. What you need to know is simple carbs spike your insulin making it raise rapidly and lower rapidly as well. So the bottom line is simple carbs only supply short term energy.
Complex carbs on the other hand supply long term energy because insulin levels increase and decrease more slowly. So wouldn’t it make sense that complex carbs should be consumed more than simple carbs? A complex carb is much better for breakfast than a simple carb one.
The only time we should consume simple carbs are after a workout to quickly replace our energy and feed our body to metabolize.
When we consume simple carbs they are really small sugar molecules as compared to complex carbs. Our body can easily break simple sugars down and convert them to fat to be stored in the body. Now you see an excess of these simple carbs will cause you to build up a lot of fat in your body.
So eat complex carbs over simple carbs whenever possible except directly after a workout.
When's The Best Time To Run?
I get this question all the time. As far as results are concerned it will depend on you as a person. Some people have more energy at night and some people have more energy during the day.
So as a result the time when you can give your maximal effort will be the best time to run because of the fact that you will burn more calories.
In general I would recommend running in the morning during specific conditions. You need to have a good nights sleep (more than 6 hours), you need to eat a good breakfast that has protein and complex carbs, these will give you energy.
The reason I recommend morning over any other time is that it will cause your metabolism to be increased throughout the day so you will not store as much food.
You can curves hunger cravings throughout the day and it has been hypothesized that you burn more fat during a morning run than you would later in the day, I can't say this is a fact, but it may be true.
You will also feel energize and less stress throughout the day and that is a great benefit that most people don't think about. Yes, running reduces stress as any physical activity does.
So running in the morning is more beneficial during the right circumstances with the right sleeping and eating.
